International Master's Degree Programs
Well-trained students are a prerequisite for securing the path to an academic career in research in the long term. The University of Bonn and BORA members cooperate in teaching, through joint chairs and in-depth courses; the education of young students is also part of the multifaceted cooperation. For example, colleagues from BORA member institutions and the University of Bonn work closely together in joint international, interdisciplinary and continuing education master's programs.
Master programs by and with BORA members are located in three thematic areas: (1) Sustainable Futures, (2) Medicine, Health & Life Sciences, and (3) Digitalization, AI & Computing.

The Master of Science in Neurosciences at the University of Bonn is a two-year research-oriented, international study program. The curriculum is taught entirely in English and divided into modules, combining courses, lectures, seminars and laboratory work.
The Bonn International Graduate Schools (BIGS) Neuroscience, BIGS Drugs and the Max Planck International Research School (IMPRS) for Brain and Behavior provide a coordinated curriculum that builds upon our Master Program Neurosciences. Those schools give the Master's students excellent prospects to advance their further scientific qualification in Bonn. On the other hand, the recruitment of young neuroscientists in these graduate programs is an important competitive advantage for Bonn as a research location.
